HOW TO PARK A .GA, .TK. .ML, .GQ IN BLOGSPOT

One of the first steps a good blogger must take to increase seo rankings or make users escape the small task of cramming or sharing a blog's long url is getting a custom domain name.

Then this short precise tutorial should guide you or first time bloggers on how to quickly and effectively park a free .tk .cf .ga .ml .gq .co.cc domain easily on blogger.

Get a free .tk .ml .ga .gq .cf .co.cc domain name today from Freenom.com with these easy steps


Step 1


Goto Freenom.com

Enter your blog name (the url you want for your new domain name eg Inform8t which makes it inform8t.new domain) in the text box you see and click check to see if its available or used by another person,if its available,move to step 2 if not keep changing until you get a name no one has used

Step 2


Freenom will now take you to a page that displays a list of free domains for you to choose,i choosed the .ml (which is also the example im using in this tutorial) you can select any one as they are all free.
Wait for the page to load.


Step 3

You should see your selected domain and your blog name eg blogname inform8 and selected domain .ml Select forward this domain to url and input your former blog url in full eg urformerblogname.blogspot.com

Select 12 months (your new domain would last free maximum of 12 months)

You will be asked to submit your email for verification and registration later, enter a valid email and submit


You should get a "thank you for placing an order" alongside your order number,dont worry this order is free and you should see a client area button.

Step 4


Login to your mail account and Verify your freenom account through their message,complete the short registeration,(if dont know your state code in Nigeria,
input 900231,thats Abuja POSTAL ZIP CODE)
Step 5


Now were getting somewhere

Goto your blogger account,click setting > publishing > setup a third party url for your blog

Input your new registered freenom domain like this www.yoursitename.newcustomdomain eg www.inform8t.ml and submit
You should get an error,dont worry that's what we need,its not actually an error,it's Google's way of sending unique dns names server for you to park a custom domain


You should find something like this(should not be exactly what we have below here,this just an example)

1st paragraph

Write these down exactly if you re using an ancient browser or open a new tab if you are on smartphone or pc

Go back to freenom website,login your account if you have to; to access your domain dashboard.

Step 6

Select My Domains > Manage Domains > Management tools > Name servers > Select default Name servers > click Change name servers.

Goto Manage Freenom Dnsto activate your domain finally on freenom

You should find a Add Record

Step 7

You should find upto four input boxes with title Name,Type,TTL,Target respectively in three places (this order of arrangement is important if you are surfing on mobile) eg [1st set] Name,Type,TTL,Target
[2nd set] Name,Type,TTL,Target
[3rd set] Name,Type,TTL,Target
if you dont find upto 3 set,select add button under

In 1st set of input boxes,In Name Leave the input box under it empty

In Typeselect A

In TTL input 14440 or skip it if its already there

In Target input 216.239.32.21

In 2nd set of input boxes,In Name fill in the 2nd paragraph text you got from earlier Google blog error (Step 5) eg GHSghyxxs

In Typeselect CNAME

In TTL input 14440 or skip it if its already there

In Target input the gh.ggryg.gdf6yy.... text example

In 3rd set of input boxes,In Name input WWW

In Typeselect CNAME

In TTL input 14440 or skip it if its already there

In Target input ghs.google.com text example from 2nd paragraph of step 5

Click submit,you should get a "record added sucessfully message"


Step 8

Finally go back to your blogger dashboard,refresh and wait for some minutes, Repeat step 5 this time without adding the wwweg input only inform8t.ml, it will save without any error and that means your domain has been parked successfully!

Refresh and goto settings again > domain settings >click redirect to yoursitename.newdomain eg inform8t.ml
without www and save!


DONE!! wait for some minutes and visit your new url!
